Overdraft Protection Opt-In Information

Beginning July 1, 2010 New Regulations that govern Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees will affect you as an account holder at First Federal Savings Bank of Lincolnton.

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction. We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:

1. We have Courtesy Overdraft Coverage of $25.00 that comes with your account.
2. We also offer Overdraft Protection Plans, such as a link to a savings account, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices.

*What are the Standard overdraft practices that come with my account?

• We DO authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
  • Checks and other transactions made using your Checking Account Number
  • Automatic Bill Payments
• *We CAN NOT authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you Opt-In to this program:
  • Debit Card Transactions (non-recurring transactions)
  • ATM Withdrawals

We pay overdrafts at our discretion and do not guarantee we will always pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize your transaction it will be declined. By opting in you may avoid embarrassment at the Terminal at which you are attempting to make your purchase.

What fees will First Federal Savings Bank charge if I use Courtesy Overdraft?

• We will charge you a fee of $30.00 for each item that overdraws your account
• There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account
